Who this page is for
This page explains how to delete your CatalogKite account and the data stored with it. It applies to accounts used on the website catalogkite.com and in the CatalogKite Android app on Google Play (com.catalogkite.app); both use the same account. CatalogKite is operated by Krishna Kumar, an individual developer based in India.
Option 1: delete your account in the app
You can do this at any time, in the Android app or in any web browser:
- Open the CatalogKite app, or go to catalogkite.com/login in a browser, and sign in with the email address on your account. We email you a one-time sign-in code.
- Open Settings from the menu, or go to catalogkite.com/app/settings.
- Scroll down to Danger zone and tap Delete account.
- Type
DELETEto confirm, then tap Delete forever.
Your account and its data are deleted straight away and you are signed out. An active paid subscription is cancelled automatically as part of the deletion, so you will not be charged again; deleting your account does not by itself issue a refund (see our refund policy). If the subscription cannot be cancelled automatically, nothing is deleted and you will see a message: email us as described below and we will cancel it and delete your account.
Option 2: ask us by email
If you cannot sign in, or would rather we do it for you, email support@catalogkite.com from the email address on your account with the subject Delete my account. If you write from a different address, we will ask you to confirm the request from your account's email address, so that nobody else can delete your account. We delete the account and confirm by email within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your account details: email address, name and, if you used Google sign-in, your profile picture and linked Google sign-in
- All sign-in sessions, on every device
- All catalogs saved to your account, with their products, prices, descriptions and brand details
- Your published online catalogs: their links stop working straight away
- The images, logos and cover photos you uploaded
- Your subscription and billing records stored by CatalogKite
Copies of your images held in our content delivery network's cache expire within 24 hours.
What is kept, and for how long
- Payment records: Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, keeps payment, invoice and tax records for as long as tax and accounting laws require, under its own privacy policy. We never receive your full card number.
- Backups: deleted data can remain in our database backups for up to 30 days, after which it is gone.
- Logs: server and security logs, such as IP addresses and request times, are kept for a short period for security and debugging, then deleted or aggregated.
- Sign-in security records: one-time sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes, and anti-abuse counters for your email address reset within 24 hours and are then cleared.
- Emails with us: if you email us, including to ask for deletion, we keep that correspondence for a reasonable period, as described in our Privacy Policy.
PDFs you downloaded and catalogs you shared outside CatalogKite are not on our systems, so we cannot delete copies that you or other people saved.
Catalogs made without an account
The free maker keeps catalogs you make without an account only on your device, in the browser's storage for catalogkite.com. We never receive them, so deleting an account does not remove them. To remove them:
- Delete each catalog from its menu in the maker, or
- In a web browser, clear the site data (cookies and site data) for catalogkite.com in your browser settings
- In the Android app, the data is kept by Chrome, which runs the app. Open Chrome, go to Settings → Site settings → All sites → catalogkite.com and clear its data. Uninstalling the app on its own may not remove it.
Delete some data and keep your account
You do not have to delete your account to remove data. Signed in, you can delete any catalog from your catalogs list, which also takes its online catalog link down. For any other request, such as deleting specific images, email support@catalogkite.com from your account's email address.
