Tips

How to make a great shoe line sheet

Structuring a shoe line sheet

Organize a shoe line sheet by category (sneakers, loafers, boots, sandals) and show each style as an outside profile with a small top-down image. Under it list the size range in EU and US, the recommended size curve, upper and sole material, colorways, minimum per size run and both prices. If you sell fixed size assortments, print the pack breakdown (for example 1-2-2-2-1) right on the style block.

Typical shoe wholesale terms

Footwear minimums are usually one size run per color (6–12 pairs) with a $750–$1,500 opening order for independent stores. Prebook seasons run 4–6 months ahead; offer at-once stock on core styles if you hold inventory. State whether you accept size breaks (single sizes) on reorders.

Fields to show on a shoe line sheet

Style number, last or fit note, upper material, lining, sole (leather, rubber, crepe), size range in EU and US, widths, colorways, wholesale, MSRP and country of manufacture. Add the case pack if shoes ship in fixed size assortments.

FAQ

Shoe line sheet questions

How do I show size runs on a shoe line sheet?

List the full size range per style and the size curve you recommend, such as women's EU 36–41 at 1-2-3-3-2-1. If you only sell fixed packs, state the pairs per pack and whether size breaks are allowed on reorders.

What is a size run in footwear wholesale?

A size run (or size curve) is a set of pairs covering a range of sizes in one color, for example one pair each of EU 36–41, or a weighted curve like 1-2-3-3-2-1. Most brands require at least one run per color on an opening order.

Should a line sheet show retail prices?

Show both: the wholesale price is what the buyer pays you, and the MSRP (suggested retail price) tells them their margin at a glance. Most boutiques expect at least a 2x markup, so a sheet with both numbers answers their first question before they have to email you.
